Here’s my addition to the exhibition. The space is far too bright for this work (in the first original exhibition it was in complete darkness). Now the bright blinking effect (how the viewer sees his distorted image lit up in the space through the mirrors) doesn’t work as planned. So if you see the work be aware of the original intentions.
Christmas exhibition “6xkuusi” @ Galleria Katariina
Published December 18, 2009 WORKPOSTS Leave a CommentDespite its stupid title (there’s 8 artists in the exhibition) and even dummier (christmas tree) theme the exhibition is pretty ok.
At least I’m content with my part.
The works are:
1. Harras / Fervent, 2009, (aquarium, water, “Relax In Front Of The Fireplace”- DVD loop, doll’s house table and chairs, miniature house, rocks)
2. – 9. Kohteet / Targets, 2009, water colour on paper
Here’s some proof:

Published November 27, 2009 WORKPOSTS Leave a CommentHello,
After a long silence I decided to start to update this page more often.
Actually, I’ve been busy with large scale installation works (check out “Trancension Instructions”) and small scale paintings. And because my blogging has mostly been about work-in-process pictures of paintings I haven’t had good reason to come here too often.
Recently I needed to take down my porfolio page because of some virus-hacking-malware problem. I need some kind of platform to show my works and propably this will do fine. So in couple of days I’ll transfer my portfolio stuff to here in WordPress.
My next exhibition will be in Taidehalli (Hall of the Arts) Helsinki, Finland. I’ve had some problems with the piece in question but I guess it’ll turn out fine. Vernissage will be on 4th of december.
Kind regards,
A-VR
